Magic in WPL: Second match of WPL was between Royal Challenger Bangalore and UP Warriors women and the match was as similar as the last one played between MI and DC. This match was also a nail biting match and in this match also chasing Team UPW needed 5 runs out of 1 ball just like the other night but there was Sajana who hit that magical six and became a star to remember but UPW’s batters failed to do that nearly impossible thing and RCB won by 2 runs.
Earlier UPW won the toss and decided to bowl first because of having advantage of win percentages in chasing at bangalore. They have bowled really well in the first ten overs and successfully stopped Captain Smriti and dangerous Sophie Devine and Ellyse Perry but in the second half Meghna and Richa ghosh fought brilliantly and took their Team’s total to 157-6. While chasing down this total UPW started slowly with also loss of 1 wicket but smashing runs in the middle overs they covered run rate quickly. When only 32 runs were needed off 24 balls, game turned into RCB’s favour. From there UPW lost their proper batters wickets in regular interval. In the last over UPW needed 11 runs with 3 wickets in hand but failed to get the target. Shobhna Asha was the game changer for RCB, not only she broke the partnership between Meghna and Richa but also took 3 wickets in a single over and total 5 wickets.
