IPL: Mumbai Indians had a target of 207 runs to win, but Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians could score only 186 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. In this way, Chennai Super Kings, captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad, won the match by 20 runs. However, Rohit Sharma scored a brilliant century in chasing but his efforts went in vain because no other batter contributed in run chasing.
While batting first Chennai start was not upto the mark . This time Ajinkya Rahane went to open the inning with Rachin Ravindra but got out on just 8 runs and Rachin also threw his wicket after hitting few good shots. In the powerplay Csk scored just 48 runs and lost 2 important wickets and then they made their comeback in middle overs when Dubey came to bat. Dubey smashed 66 out of 38 balls and Capatain Ruturaj also contributed with him with 69 runs out of 40 balls but in the end all the limelight of the match was stolen by MS Dhoni who just played 4 balls and hit 3 sixes to MI’s Captain Hardik Pandya and thus CSK manage to get strong score of 206 runs with 4 wickets.
Coming to chase MI started with destruction all over the park. Rohit Sharma defined his class and MI scored 60+ runs in first popwerplay. at one time Mumbai Indians was 130 runs in 13 overs and from there it was easy to win for them but in middle over Mateeksha Pathirana with his bowling partners Tushar and Mustafizur plucked 3-4 wickets and Mi had to face one more defeat. Rohit was the only warrior in the match from Mumbai side who kept fighting on his own but no other batter stood by him. This is Mumbai’s 4the loss out of 6 match and now they are in deep trouble.
