Neha Dhupia was born on August 27, 1980 in Kochi, Kerala to Commander Pradip Singh Dhupia, who served in the Indian Navy, and Manpinder, and she has one brother.
She did her schooling at the Naval Public School in Kochi and then shifted to Delhi, where she finished her graduation with honours in History from Jesus and Mary College. She is married to actor Angad Bedi and has a daughter with him.
